Torzon Market Independent Platform Review: Payment Policies, Rules & History

A rulebook tells you what a market promises. It won't tell you whether a seller will deliver. This independent review looks at Torzon's history, account roles and storefront, then gets into the 14-day order hold and dispute policy and the 14 platform rules. Where the record rests on Torzon's own documentation, we say so.

What Is Torzon Market? Platform History (2022-2026), v3 Architecture & Account Policy

Torzon says it launched as a Tor v3 marketplace in September 2022. Its documentation describes separate buyer and vendor accounts and several gateways. To verify active gateway addresses, use our signed mirror reference table on Home; an old listing count won't tell you which v3 strings are currently signed.

  • Sep 2022Torzon reports launching its v3 service with a 14-day order policy.
  • 2023–2024Its feature list grows to include display currencies, account tiers and Stealth Mode.
  • Mid-2025Other platforms close. The number of sellers who moved to Torzon remains unverified here.
  • 2026Torzon lists three gateways and private links for qualifying repeat accounts.

Three-Gateway v3 Architecture & DDoS Claims

Torzon says its three gateways share account data. If one goes down, another may still load. That tells you the page responds, not who runs it. A fake Torzon market link can show you a convincing status page and still lead to a clone. Use the Torzon onion mirrors we’ve checked against the signed list, and verify the signature yourself before you log in.

Why Buyer and Vendor Accounts Stay Separate (FAQ #8)

Under Torzon's account rules, vendors cannot buy. Once a buyer account has placed an order, it cannot become a vendor account. The roles have different storefront tools, but the separation says nothing about whether a balance is secure.

Inside the Storefront: Torzon Market Features for Buyers & Vendors

Buyer and vendor accounts have different tools. Here's what Torzon currently lists for each.

Buyer Tools: Stealth Mode, Display Currencies & Following Sellers

Stealth Mode hides listing images when someone looks over your shoulder. You can follow sellers and view prices in 14 fiat currencies. Those are display prices; the payment guide covers settlement and fees.

Account Protection & News: PGP, Phrase Checks & Alerts

The account includes PGP-based login checks, a numeric PIN and a personal phrase. Torzon also runs an on-site news feed. A phrase on the login page isn't enough to confirm where you've landed; the login checkpoints cover the other checks.

Vendor Tools: Quick Vendor Panel, Profile Categories & Vacation Mode

Sellers can group listings in the Quick Vendor Panel. It also has an automated dispute option. Vacation Mode stops new orders, though any open disputes still need to be dealt with. The tier table covers the separate buyer perks.

Account Tiers & Perks: Standard vs. Torzon Basic-Plus, Premium & the $1.50 Raffle

The standard account has the base order hold. Paid tiers add time and queue priority; neither makes a seller more reliable. The order policy says when extensions take effect.

How Basic-Plus & Premium Differ From Standard

Basic-Plus gets a third seven-day extension, a daily raffle ticket and more weight on seller ratings. Premium adds priority for messages and orders. After five completed orders, it also offers a private mirror link.

The $1.50 Raffle Ticket & Prize Pool

An extra ticket costs $1.50, according to Torzon's FAQ. It says the prize pool draws from ticket sales, paid memberships and a share of market sales. Buying tickets has no effect on your account rating or a seller's rating.

Payment & Order Policy: 14-Day Torzon Escrow, No-FE Rules & Dispute Resolution

The 14-day clock starts when a seller marks an order Shipped. Rule #5 requires dispatch first. For wallet and transfer details, use the payment mechanics guide.

  • Standard buyerTwo seven-day extensions; up to 28 days from Shipped.
  • Basic-PlusThree seven-day extensions; up to 35 days from Shipped.
  • PremiumThree seven-day extensions; up to 35 days from Shipped.

The 14-Day Auto-Finalize Rule & Tier Extensions

Under Rules #4 and #5, the order finalizes when the clock runs out unless an extension or dispute is recorded. Check the order page for the deadline. A promise in a seller's message won't change it.

No Finalize Early (No-FE) Policy & Exception

Rule #10 bars sellers from asking you to release payment early. Torzon's FAQ makes an exception for sellers with FE status on at least two other markets. If a seller claims that exception, don't assume the claim has been checked.

Dispute Resolution: Timer, Evidence & Quality Policy

  • 01 / Open a caseTorzon says filing a dispute before the deadline pauses auto-finalize and opens a record shared with the seller and a moderator.
  • 02 / Keep the recordPoint to the order status, the listing and the seller's terms. A private promise leaves the moderator less to work with. The vendor code names the relevant rules.
  • 03 / Check the decisionModerators decide unresolved cases against the posted terms. FAQ #7 treats an inaccurate listing differently from a product that simply disappoints.

The 14 Platform Rules, $650 Vendor Bond & How Vendor Verification Works

These are Torzon's published rules. The $650 entry fee tells you what a vendor pays to join; it doesn't tell you whether that vendor keeps their word.

Three Deal-Breakers: Off-Market Contact (#11), Early Release (#10) & Data Leaks (#8)

  • #11 Off-market contactMove the conversation elsewhere and the platform loses the message trail a dispute would need.
  • #10 Early releaseThe standard rule bars sellers from asking for payment before delivery.
  • #8 Customer data leakThe rulebook calls for a ban when a seller shares or threatens to expose buyer details.

All 14 Torzon Market Rules: Published Platform & Vendor Code

The full list, in the order Torzon gives it:

#1 Restricted categories. Severe-harm, exploitation and non-consensual listings are prohibited.
#2 Vendor PGP key. Every vendor account needs one.
#3 $650 USD vendor fee. The fee is non-refundable.
#4 14-day auto-finalize. Standard accounts get two seven-day extensions; Basic-Plus and Premium get three.
#5 Mark Shipped only once the parcel has left.
#6 Correct category only.
#7 No duplicate listings unless staggered.
#8 Customer data. Sharing buyer details can get a vendor banned.
#9 Descriptions. Listings must describe what the seller offers.
#10 Early release. Vendors may not ask buyers to finalize early.
#11 Off-market contact. Contact and sales must stay on the platform.
#12 Community conduct. Members must follow the forum's conduct rules.
#13 Product images. Vendors must use their own photos.
#14 Dropshipping. Sellers may not pass buyer details to outside suppliers.

The $650 Non-Refundable Vendor Bond & Trust Status

The $650 fee under Rule #3 is non-refundable. Ratings from paid-tier buyers carry extra weight in Trust Vendor Status and the Top Vendor board. Neither the fee nor the badge tells you whether an order will arrive.

How to Read Vendor Claims: Photos, Feedback & Posted Terms

Check listing photos against Rule #13 and read recent reviews beside the seller's own terms. If the same praise appears over and over, or buyers repeatedly report missing orders, take that seriously. The reputation review looks at public reports too.

Is Torzon Legit? 2026 Platform Comparison, Scam Reports & Dread (/d/Torzon) Audit

Start with what Torzon actually publishes, then look for dated reports that show how it handles complaints. A rules page on its own can't answer whether you should trust it.

  • CatalogueListing totals go stale. Check dates before comparing one market's count with another's.
  • Settlement policyTorzon lists BTC and XMR settlement with a 4% fee. The fee breakdown has the details.
  • Vendor bondRule #3 sets the fee at $650 USD. It covers entry to the platform, not buyer refunds.
  • Order governanceAccording to the rules, the 14-day hold allows two or three seven-day extensions by tier.
  • Buyer tiersStandard, Basic-Plus and Premium change perks. None tells you how a dispute will turn out.
  • Account locksA familiar phrase on a login screen isn't enough. Check the signed source behind an address.

Why Fake Gateways Trigger "Is Torzon Market a Scam" Reports

A fake gateway can copy the storefront and collect passwords or payments. That explains some complaints, but it doesn't clear the market of every other one. Check the gateway warning signs when an address looks suspicious, and read the complaint itself before deciding who was at fault.

Public Reports on Dread (/d/Torzon) & Their Limits

On /d/Torzon you'll find signed notices alongside buyers' accounts of disputes. Read the dates and check whether other reports back up a claim. A forum thread can show you what someone experienced; it can't audit the market for you. Connection or account trouble has its own troubleshooting FAQ.
